The East Devon Coast from Exmouth to Dorset has been officially ranked alongside the Great Barrier Reef and the Grand Canyon as one of the natural wonders of the world. The coast provides a walk through time of 185 million years of the earth's history and stretches from Orcombe Point at Exmouth in Devon to Dorset.

Exmouth in Bloom 2007

Exmouth Town Council is delighted that Exmouth won the St Bridgette Cup this year and a gold award in the South West in Bloom in Exmouth. At this level of the competition this is the best award that can be achieved in its class and is a mighty achievement for all concerned. Exmouth in Bloom, East Devon District Council and Exmouth Town Council can be proud of the their achievements this year making Exmouth a winner.

In 2005 Exmouth has at last won 1st place in the large towns category of the Exmouth in Bloom Competition for the South West Region.

All about Exmouth in East Devon

Exmouth is well celebrated for its long two-miles of golden sand, rare on this coast and fascinating rock pools it's a paradise for children and adults alike. On the Estuary of the River Exe internationally known for its wildlife.

In the centre of East Devon's glorious countryside with Woodbury Common and beautiful towns and villages nearby. Exmouth has its own train station, only 25 minutes away from Exeter by train giving great views of The River Exe (and just 10 miles from the M5 motorway).

Avocet Train Line Train to Exmouth, The Avocet Line, The name derives from the bird which over winters on the internationally-important Exe Estuary site.

The Avocet Line is a busy busy railway connecting Exeter Central and Exmouth stations with great views over the river.

Glorious Chorus will have you re-thinking what you thought a choir was in the first place. Glorious Chorus, the aptly named 40 strong a-cappella choir led by Helen Yeomans goes from strength to strength.

30 May Imperial Recreation Ground
Joey the Lips
Billed as the Nations funkiest 10 piece sole band you will be up and dancing before you know it. The venue will be the Imperial Recreation Ground. Come early at 6pm, bring your collapsible chairs and a picnic and live the life of Riley on your own doorstep. There is a reasonable charge of £6 in advance or £8 on the gate – where else can you get such value?
