The
largest secondary school in Devon is asking its students to
come in 20 minutes earlier each morning in a bid to boost
learning. For a trial period, from September 2004 the 2,300
pupils at Exmouth Community College will start each day at
8.30am and finish at 3pm. School governors said research has
shown the brain could absorb more information earlier on in
the day.
