Awards
for Lottery Grants for Local
People
This is a grant to help
small groups. If you are
a local group and you need
between £500 and £5000
Awards for All may be able
to help you. It can fund
projects, which involve
people in their local community,
bringing them together to
take part in a range of
arts, heritage, sports,
and charitable and other
community activities. You
can apply at any time. The
application form asks for
basic information only and
you should hear the results
of your application within
three months.

West Arts
Kicking
off Fund
Awards of up to £500
to help young people start
their careers in the arts
by creating opportunities
to produce, publish and
perform. Deadline 29th September.
Training
and Development Bursary
This provides a small
grant to individual artists
in any art form to develop
their creative and professional
skills. Deadline - None
Crafts
and Visual Arts Lottery
Programme 'RALP 2'
This funding scheme
assists visual arts, photography,
digital arts & film
and video and crafts. Deadline
11th October
Regional
Arts Lottery Programme 'RALP'
This lottery scheme
is run by South West Arts.
Groups may apply for grants
between £5000 and
£30000 in any one
year, with potential funding
over three years. Grants
will be made in four areas:
access, education, production
and distribution, and investment
in artists. Demand is likely
to exceed the funds available.Sm

scale Lottery Capital Fund
For capital projects
and equipment costs of up
to £10000. This fund
is now being managed by
SWA in conjunction with
the Arts Council of England.

EXMOUTH'S
TOWN CENTRE RENAISSANCE
Limited grants are available
towards the cost of repairs
to buildings of architectural
or historic interest i.e.
those designated as "Listed
Buildings".
Grant
aid is available towards
the cost of:
i. Replacement of inappropriate,
non-original windows with
appropriate timber framed
windows.
ii.
Repairs to cob walls using
cob or cob blocks or cob
tiles.
iii.
Reinstatement of original
features
iv.
Repairs to public buildings
and structures
v.
Rethatching in combed wheat
reed with a flush ridge
Grants
will not be paid retrospectively
and certain other conditions
apply. The amount offered
in respect of Listed Buildings
will usually be 13%
of the total cost of repairs
with a maximum of £540.
If the building is listed
and in a Conservation Area,
the figure is usually 17%
of the total cost; in this
case the maximum is £720.
