Sir Jimmy Saville OBE came to Exmouth
on Sunday May 28th June 2000 for the sponsored
walk to raise money for the Exe Waterfront
Centre.
Sir Jimmy has long
supported the area and the Exe Waterfront
Centre. Many many thanks to him supporting
the Centre, He spent time talking to all
and went out of his way making it a great
day for all.

Jimmy spoke to the Exmouth Guide website
after walking (well almost running) along
the 2 mile seafront and back, in the Exe
Powerboat & ski Club.
"Coming
to the Marine Camp at Lympstone, which I
consider to be Exmouth is like putting on
a warm and comfortable slipper! It
feels great and am deeply honored that the
locals still stand for my nonsense. Today
is totally fabulous... It was worth being
born!"
