Windsurfing
tuition is provided at Exmouth and there are a host
of other water activities including power boat rallying
and water skiing that can be undertaken on the coast
and on the River Exe. A small public Golf Course in
Phear Park and two Clubs nearby
Cricket,
Rugby and Football Teams play at their grounds in
Exmouth. Exmouth Cricket Club have been winners of
the Devon Premier Division Trophy.

Bretagne Sunken Ship Wreck
Off the East Devon coast, the steamship Bretagne.
Listed as a World War One wreck, the Bretagne
was actually sunk by a collision in fog on
10 August 1918.
Admiralty Chart 3315, Berry Head to Bill of
Portland. Ordnance Survey Map 192, Exeter
and Sidmouth.
Bristol
Aerospace SAC's website contains a detailed
history of the Bretagne.
The GPS co-ordinates are 50 29.50N, 3 22.70W
(Degrees, minutes and decimals). Visit the
superb Internet site by Tim Clouter, a diver
with Bristol Aerospace Sub-Aqua Club. His
club own the wreck of The
Bretagne. They have recently set up a
