The best tasting food and drink and the richest nutrients are usually found in seasonal produce straight from the farm, off the fishing boat or from local suppliers. Look out for the ‘Taste of Exmouth’ stickers in independent local retailers around the town and sample for yourself. You’ll enjoy the difference and support your local independent shops at the same time.

This listing has been prepared by Transition Town Exmouth. If you know of any other independent Exmouth shops supporting Devon’s producers, please inform us at [email protected]. We aim to update this list each Spring.

Devon County Council
Transition Town Exmouth (TTE) is one of many community groups around the world seeking to strengthen the local response to climate change and the shrinking sources of energy by reducing carbon emissions and building local resilience.

We believe that it is desirable that all new buildings should be energy efficient, with features such as solar panels and water harvesting whenever possible. Buying local food and drink cuts down of food miles, refrigeration and the use of preservatives. Independent traders usually keep the money in the town and help to boost local distinctiveness in the high street. There is to be an accompanying leaflet on the same theme.
